Allow the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. - Mark 10:14

Soon after the baptism of Jesus, he began his work of preaching. Many people heard him and some believed the things he taught. Jesus went everywhere doing good. He chose twelve men to be apostles. These disciples went with Jesus and helped him with his teaching.

Everywhere Jesus went, the little children loved him. They came to see him. Mothers brought their children so that Jesus might bless them. Jesus loved all of the little children. Little children are pure, sweet and innocent. All good people love little children.

One day some people came bringing their children to Jesus. The apostles saw them and told them to take their children away. They thought Jesus was much too busy and too tired to be bothered with children. When Jesus saw this, he was much displeased. Jesus was really glad for the children to come. He wanted to see them.

Jesus said, “Allow the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.” After this, the parents brought their children and Jesus took them up into his arms and blessed them. They crowded around him and loved him. The child.ren were very happy because they had seen the Son of God on earth.

Jesus said that all people must receive the kingdom of God like little children. Little children are pure and holy; they are humble and willing to be taught the truth. Even grownups must become humble like little children in order to go to Heaven.
