For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth...Eph 5:9

(Good Shepherd, continued from page 5)

Guy N. Woods observed that “Jesus, the true Shepherd of the sheep, came in the proper way, predicted by prophets, announced by John, and approved by the Father through the works He did...”. This was the distinguishing difference between Jesus and the Pharisees, in that they had unlawfully gained power and authority over the people through their traditions.

(Children, continued from page 9)

The kind of relationship that we build, with our children through the years of growing up, will determine how well they will listen to what we have taught them. A positive way of thinking when we are raising them will allow them to develop a wonderful attitude.

Training our children to be responsible should be another goal of parents. Just making life easy for them is not responsible training. Children, who get their way all the time, will not know how to be self-disciplined or self-sufficient. Even a child is known by his deeds, whether what he does is pure and right. (Proverbs 20:11) As children grow teach them to put their hope and trust in the Lord. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your ways” (Proverbs 3:3-5).
